I've just bought a book called 'Grow your own vegetables' by Joy Larkcom which I would recommend. It is paperback novel size so handy for taking down to your allotment too! (and only £5.99 on Amazon.) It is really easy to find what you are looking for and crammed full of easy to understand, clear information. I watched the BBC2 Grow Your Own Veg programme too - it was ok I thought but not enough info on how to actually grow things. Hopefully there will be more on this in the next programmes.
